Educational Options offers a number of comprehensive services. Based on my own experiences, expertise, and interests, I have studied and practiced what I think is important toward understanding how an intelligence level affects the entire person.

My experience with individuals and with families over the years tells me that there are specific steps that work best for my being able to help my clients. First, it is important for me to know where on the intellectual continuum the individual falls. I can assess children and adults, but if there are already ample previous assessments, I ask for copies of previous standardized tests from schools and other venues so that I can make a good estimate of where on the continuum the person actually lies. The intellectual assessment and the file analysis also help me to know strengths and weaknesses within the intellectual profile.

Once a family decides to become a client, I provide my questionnaire called "Developmental Milestones," either through the mail or e-mail. This inventory asks for the approximate ages at which the child first did something or showed interest in a number of different areas that I have determined are intellectually related.

Finally, the most meaningful part of my services is the follow-up consultation. After I complete any assessments or file analyses that you request, I meet with the parents without the child, unless the child is a teenager, to thoroughly explain the meaning of my findings. I call it my "crash course" on your child's intellectual level and all the ways that affect your child now and in the future.
